Me teaching

My name is Daniel and I'm a PhD student in the department of economics and finance at Durham University Business School, specialising in applied environmental economics and applications of spatial data methods in policy evaluation. My PhD research is supervised by Riccardo Scarpa and Ashar Aftab and focuses on designing targeted environmental policy that account for spatial variation in weather and geography to better regulate pollution, flooding, and land management. During my third year I interned with Oxera Consulting LLP, where I advised clients across the energy- water, and transport sectors. I am on the 2023 job market.

I hold an MA in economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, where I was also a research assistant in the economics department. During my studies I spent a semester in the department of environmental science at ETH Zurich, and retain a keen interest in environmental GIS and climate.
